Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply between the guest and Lake City Holiday Home Co. relating to the occupation of the accommodation by the guest for a short term stay or holiday purposes.

DEPOSIT AND BOOKING
To secure the property, full payment is required at the time of booking.  All transactions are in New Zealand Dollars.

CANCELLATIONS
We operate a 5 day cancellation policy. If you cancel before this period you will receive 100% of your booking back. If you cancel after this period you will receive 50% of your booking back.

NO PARTY POLICY
All of our houses have firm no party policies with no additional guests allowed to visit the house at any time without written authorisation. Sound travels to the neighbours easily and as such, noise levels are to be respectful at all times of the day. There is to be no music or outdoor entertaining whatsoever after 10pm.

CARE OF THE PROPERTY
As a guest you agree to accept the property upon arrival, provided it meets the basic description as listed on the booking platform.

As a guest you agree to keep the property in good clean tidy condition, and upon departure, you will leave the property in good and habitable condition

DAMAGE
As a guest, you are responsible for all damage, breakage and/or loss to the property, except for normal wear and tear and unavoidable casualties (as deemed by Host in its sole discretion).

As a guest you understand that the property will be inspected prior to your arrival and upon departure. You acknowledge any loss and/or damage to the property will result in a charge or charges for repair and/or replacement value.

SMOKING
All of our properties are non-smoking homes. Any violation of the smoking policy will incur a $1,000.00 Additional “Smoke Damage” Cleaning Fee to remove smoke odors from the house and/or linens.

PETS
There are to be no pets on the Property 

OCCUPANTS
The property is to be occupied by no more than the number booked for in the approved reservation. If a guest exceeds the occupancy limit and falsifies occupancy information at the time of reservation, they shall be subject to eviction

CHECK IN
Check-in is no earlier than 3pm on the day of arrival unless prior arrangements have been made with Host in writing.

CHECK OUT
The check-out time is 10am on the day of departure unless prior arrangements have been made with the host in writing.

Prior to vacating the home, the guest is responsible for ensuring all doors and windows are closed, locked and secure. The dishwasher is also to be run and rubbish taken out to the bins. Keys are to be returned to the lock box. Loss of keys will incur replacement charges.

COMPLAINTS
Actions by guests that result in neighbour complaints or Security/ Police being called to the Property will result in an eviction by 12pm the next day or immediately if a 2nd complaint is made.

ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE
Illegal substances are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction from the property.

ENTERING PREMISES
Host, or Host’s Agent may enter the property at any time, with no prior notice, in the event of an emergency, in order to perform necessary repairs and/or maintenance; and with 24 hours’ notice, for normal maintenance.

LOST ITEMS
The host shall not be liable or responsible for personal items left behind, lost or stolen. If you leave an item after checking out and wish to have it returned, message the Host as soon as possible and we will arrange for shipment. We will inform you of the shipping cost and send once payment has been made.

LIABILITY
The host shall not be liable to the guest, its guests or invitees or any other person for any injury, loss or damage to any person or property on or about the property. The guest shall hold the host harmless and indemnify the host from and against all loss, injury or damage occasioned by the use or misuse or abuse of any part of the Property and from or against any omission, neglect, or default of the guests, or invitees.

LOCKS , SECURITY CAMERA & WIFI
No physical changes to the property or changing of locks, no tampering of WIFI or security cameras on the property are permitted. Security cameras in some properties are external only and they are for protection of the property and its guests.

MINIMUM AGE TO RENT
Guests must be at least 25 years of age to enter into this agreement and reserve this property. The host may request proof of age.

SECURE THE PROPERTY
The guests shall be responsible for the property during the stay and ensure the property is secure at all times during the stay.
